When Katy Perry hit “Play” for the last time during her Las Vegas residency on Saturday, she made sure to acknowledge one very special audience member: her daughter Daisy Dove.
“Daisy, I love you so much,” the “Roar” singer said while on stage at the Resorts World Theater, as seen video Posted on social media.
The three-year-old was on the video screen dressed as Minnie Mouse and waving adorably to Perry on stage. “You’re my best friend and I’m so glad you’re here,” Perry said.
At the end of the show, Perry gave an emotional speech thanking her loved ones, who she said supported her Las Vegas residency.
“I created this show after the birth of my daughter Daisy Dove. When I met him, all the love I was looking for finally appeared,” he said, according to one video X, previously posted on Twitter.
Perry went on to share that Daisy “made me whole and she healed me and she showed me how to play again.”
“So this show is about everyone’s inner child and the hope that if we could all see life through a child’s eyes, we would be free. Because never forget, love is and always will be the key,” he said.
Orlando Bloom, Perry’s longtime partner and father of Daisy Dove, attended Saturday’s concert and has been spotted at other events as well. video Perry posted on social media dancing with her daughter while performing her 2017 hit “Chained to the Rhythm.”
In her speech, Perry also thanked Bloom for being an “incredible support system” and an “amazing father.”
Bloom and Perry welcomed Daisy in August 2020, writing In an Instagram post at the time that they were “overwhelmed with love and wonder at the safe and sound arrival of our daughter.”
Perry debuted her play residency at the Resorts World Theater in Las Vegas in 2021. Saturday’s concert concludes its run.
“To my fans, what a wonderful celebration,” he said on stage before taking his final bow, “without you, there would be no game.”
